Tomahawk High Clearance Rear Bumper for Jeep JT

The rear of a Gladiator takes a beating on steep ledges and tight departures. The Tomahawk High Clearance Rear Bumper was built to tighten up the back of the truck without compromising strength or functionality.

This design pulls the bumper in tight and improves departure angle while maintaining real recovery capability. Heavy-duty 3/4 inch D-ring mounts are integrated directly into the bumper structure, keeping recovery points strong and positioned for optimal clearance.

Modular rocker protection is included and can be removed if you prefer a cleaner look. The bumper also features mounting locations for Baja Designs S2 lights or similar compact pods, allowing you to add rear lighting without fabricating brackets.

If you are not running a hitch receiver, the included hitch delete skid plate fills the center section for a smooth transition across obstacles. For those who want a receiver, the optional MB1186 Motobilt Hitch bolts directly to the frame and bumper using 1/4 inch wall steel construction and includes an integrated trailer wiring mount.

The bumper retains factory trailer wiring by relocating the plugs to a higher and more protected position. No frame cutting or drilling is required. The bumper secures to the Gladiator with 8 mounting points for strength and rigidity.

To achieve maximum clearance, approximately 4 + inches must be trimmed from the lower corners of the Gladiator bed. Once installed, the rear of the truck sits tighter, cleaner, and better prepared for real trail work.
