Steel Rear Corner Armor w/ Round Taillight Holes for Jeep JKU

The Motobilt MB1125-ST Corner Armor adds serious protection to the rear quarter panels of the 4-door Jeep JK Unlimited. These areas are one of the first places to take damage on the trail, especially around the factory taillights and license plate mount. This armor replaces that vulnerable section with a fully wrapped layer of 3/16 inch thick steel.

The design removes the factory taillights and replaces them with a flush mount round light setup. A 4-5/8 inch opening is provided to accept many styles of 4 inch round grommet mounted taillights, allowing builders to choose the lighting setup that best fits their build.

Each panel is laser cut and formed using a multi-stage CNC press brake process developed in-house. This process allows the armor to follow the complex contours around the JK taillight area so the panels fit tight against the factory sheet metal. Matching welding fixtures are used during production to ensure consistent shape and fitment.

All mounting holes are countersunk and the kit includes stainless steel hardware so the finished installation sits flush. This prevents exposed bolt heads that could catch on rocks or obstacles while wheeling.

The armor wraps from behind the rear doors all the way to the tailgate and also eliminates the factory license plate mounting location. Several Motobilt license plate relocation options are available for builders who want to reposition the plate elsewhere on the vehicle.

Each panel is metal finished and sanded before shipping to provide a clean surface ready for paint or powder coat.
