Spare Tire Delete Tag Mount for Jeep JL / JLU

The Motobilt MB1077 Spare Tire Delete Tag Mount is designed for Jeep JL and JLU owners who want to remove the factory spare tire and create a cleaner, lighter rear tailgate layout.

This system bolts directly in place of the factory spare tire mount and relocates the license plate to the center of the tailgate. By removing the bulky spare tire carrier, the rear of the Jeep becomes lighter while improving rear visibility and departure angle when navigating obstacles.

The kit consists of three primary components: a base plate, a formed tag mount, and a backup camera mount. The factory camera is relocated below the license plate and the mounting angle is adjusted so the camera view remains properly aligned. 

This design maintains the clean appearance of the Jeep’s rear while allowing the factory camera to continue functioning correctly. The mount ships as bare metal so it can be painted or powder coated to match the build.

The system reuses the factory mounting hardware, making installation straightforward while providing a durable mounting solution for the license plate and camera assembly.
