GM 14 Bolt High Clearance Shave Cast Differential Cover

The 14 bolt, 10.5 is a great axle, they are inexpensive, strong, easy to find, and affordable to build. However they have always had one down fall, the huge lip on the bottom that gets hung on everything on the trail. Barnes 4WD has come up with a solution to this issue, our GM 14 Bolt Cast Shave Cover. This cover will give you more than 1-14" of ground clearance, there is no need to have your gears turned or perform complicated machining processes that only add more cost to your axle build. This cover is cast from 38 inch thick nodular iron, to provide the toughness and strength to stand up to the rigors of the trail. A black and gray wrinkle powder coating has been applied to the cover for a long lasting finish. Mounting hardware is included.

• Hardware will need to be torqued to 30 Ft-Lbs
• Older 14 bolts will use standard hardware, newer ribbed axles will use metric
• Housings with a drain plug in the bottom will need the drain plug welded in to prevent leaks
• The cover is intended to be used in conjunction with the fill plug that is on the housing.

Fitment Note Will only work with 14 Bolts that have a 10.5" ring gear. If it is a six lug axle, this will not fit.
