Back Half Kit - Bobbed Bed for Jeep JT Gladiator

There is a point in a Gladiator build where the factory rear frame becomes the limitation.

The Motobilt MB3088 Back Half Kit for the Jeep JT Gladiator replaces the factory rear frame section with a fully boxed steel structure designed to support real suspension loads. Once the rear frame is removed, the suspension can finally be positioned where it needs to be rather than working around the compromises of the factory coil buckets and thin stamped steel.

A bobbed bed Gladiator changes the demands placed on the rear of the truck. Larger tires, heavier axles, and long travel suspension systems all push loads into areas the stock frame was never designed to carry. The MB3088 back half replaces that entire section with a structure built from 3/16 inch laser cut steel, creating a rigid foundation for serious off-road suspension setups.

The integrated shock towers allow coilovers or ORI struts to be mounted vertically above the axle, supporting 14 to 16 inch 2.5 body shocks with reservoirs. This improves suspension motion, increases usable travel, and eliminates the limitations created by the factory shock placement.

Once installed, the rear suspension loads into a structure that remains consistent under hard use. The axle stays planted, the suspension cycles cleanly, and the rear of the truck gains the clearance and strength needed for demanding terrain.
